Context
Superfleet is a fleet management platform that simplifies real-time GPS tracking and driver behavior monitoring. Designed for teams underserved by traditional tools, it combines actionable analytics with a clear, accessible user experience.
As the sole Product Designer, I own the end-to-end design process—partnering closely with the founding team to shape product strategy, roadmap decisions, and visual direction.
Note: Some screens may reflect an ongoing migration from legacy UI to a standardized design system.
Problem
Many GPS tracking and driving behavior tools are fragmented, expensive, and difficult to access—creating a high barrier for small fleets and individual drivers in emerging markets.
As the platform scales to meet these needs, it faces two primary challenges:
External Complexity: Constantly adding new features risks cluttering the user experience and making the tool harder to navigate.
Internal Inconsistency: Rapid growth has led to an inconsistent design system, causing usability gaps and technical debt that slows down development.
Approach
My approach is iterative and hands-on. I continuously audit the product to uncover usability issues and inconsistencies, using those findings to standardize components and evolve a scalable design system.
I collaborate closely with the engineering and product team, making real-time decisions that balance system improvements with feature delivery. Quite often, the early ideas from the founding team start as vibe-coding drafts which I reiterate and design in Figma, this allows us to quickly surface gaps, reduce inconsistencies, and stay aligned.
Research
& Insights
By reviewing user feedback and auditing the existing platform, we identified opportunities to streamline the experience for fleet managers and drivers.
UX Gaps: Complex filtering, data input, and reporting felt overwhelming, indicating a need for simpler, more guided workflows.
Clarity Issues: Real-time maps and tracking required better visual hierarchy to help users make faster, more confident decisions.
Solution
& Impact
To resolve the friction found in testing, I redesigned core workflows to handle high-density data without increasing cognitive load. By introducing context-aware layouts and modular logic, I transformed complex fleet analytics into a streamlined, responsive experience..
Scalable reporting & data presentation
I redesigned the reporting system to simplify complex data by standardizing layouts across modules, reducing input effort and errors. In the comparison view, a context-aware sidebar auto-minimizes as vehicles are added, reclaiming 25% of screen space for clearer side-by-side analysis.

Context-aware navigation
I implemented a flexible map-view that allows users to toggle between data tables and geographical tracking. While currently tailored to specific report needs, this framework is designed to evolve into a fully unified global map component.

Logic & organization systems
Categorization & Logic: Built a modular labeling system and unified modals for faster fleet organization and filtering as categories scale.
Notification Management: Created a multi-channel alert system (Email, SMS, Push) with daily and immediate controls, reducing notification fatigue through event-level urgency settings.

Learnings
Designing this product taught me once again how critical collaboration is, especially as a solo designer. My key learnings are:
Strategic Alignment: Moving beyond execution to understand business goals and technical limits through close work with the CEO and engineers.
Technical Depth: Building a stronger understanding of data visualization and complex system logic.
Working in Motion: Designing and improving core foundations while shipping new features in parallel.
